How Faith-Based counseling works.
We examine how client's faith has provided them support in the past and how it can provide support for them now or we will look at certain scriptures that can provide comfort and reassurance.
Values are very important when it comes to therapy and when religion is a value, I want my client to feel comfortable bringing it to the conversation and weaving it into whatever treatment we are using.
CBT
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a form of psychological treatment that has been demonstrated to be effective for a range of problems including depression, anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug use problems, marital problems, eating disorders, and severe mental illness.
DBT
Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a type of talk therapy for people who experience emotions very intensely. It's a common therapy for people with borderline personality disorder, but therapists provide it for other mental health conditions as well.
Trauma Counseling
Trauma therapy refers to specific types of therapy geared toward treating the effects of trauma.
