Somerset is where Mindsight started. It's where our families live, it's where our children go to school and where we buy Girl Scout cookies at the local Wal-Mart. In 2015, when our founder, Kasey Compton, saw a need she worked hard to make sure it was filled. In an area where most group practices were run like an agency, and where the majority had the "we take everyone" philosophy, she wanted to bring something that would offer something more specialized for mental health.

"Most people don't realize it but when you see a counselor with a specific area of expertise or specialization, you will experience the counseling process in its best form," said Kasey. When a counselor is known for a niche, you can have confidence that all of their training, their practice, and their growth have all been highly focused. That's why Mindsight supports all of our counselors in pursuing an advanced certification or area of specialization. We believe that everyone deserves someone who is highly skilled in the area they need help in.

Mindsight chose to begin its journey in Somerset because it was home. We love our city and the people who live here. We want to make a difference in the lives of our community because we care.
